Friday March 26, 2021, 10AM to 4PM
Many of you are familiar with a Birds of a Feather (BoF) session... An unconference is much like that except, an unconference is built the day-of by the people who are there!
Instead of formal sessions, we’ll do Drupally things in a one-day. If you’re unfamiliar with the unconference format, read about organizing and attending.
When the unconference part of the day happens we will follow the "rules" of an unconference:
- Whoever shows up are the right people
- Whatever the results of a session were what was supposed to be
- Whenever it starts is the right time
- It is over when it’s over
Participants should use the "law of two feet" to leave any session if you aren't contributing something positive, getting something out of a session, or feel another session would be more to your liking.
Topic Submissions
Submit a topic for discussion or see what's been submitted.
Unlike a formal presentation session submission, unconference topic submissions can be posted by anyone wanting to attend the day. You can post something you do not know anything about right now, but want to learn. Or maybe, your topic is about a problem or issue you want help solving. Or maybe, it's an idea or concept you want your Drupal friends to discuss.
All topics are valid and all the unconference attendees will select and help organize the discussions of the day.
We'll be using Miro, an online white-boarding tool, for planning the Unconference. Learn how we're using Miro with this short video.
Get Started with Local Development for Drupal Contrib Workshop
Also on Friday, DDEV will host a multi-part workshop to help you set up a local development environment on macOS, Linux, or Windows. Get ahead by installing the latest Quicksprint package, or just follow along during the workshop. Bring all your questions!

Testimonials for an unconference
I first experienced my first unconference at the 2006 Internet Identity Workshop at the Computer History Museum in San Jose, California.
The unconference format provided one of the most enriching educational experiences I've ever had!
Of course the best part of an unconference is the people! I had the privilege of to meet Kaliya Hamlin who was our facilitator along with Doc Searls, Phil Windley, Drummond Reed, Mike Jones, Joseph Smarr, Boris Mann (a fellow Drupaler) and many others!
